This is for the youngs who only know Fiennes as Voldemort. (He's a great Voldemort, to be fair, but less dreamy than in this iteration.) ## Kristin Scott-Thomas, Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Binoche ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/01/GettyImages-829903398-1643067297.jpg) (L-R) Kristin Scott-Thomas, Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche prepare to leave for this evening's (Sunday) premiere of the Oscar-nominated film, The English Patient. All three actors star in the film. Photo by Fiona Hanson/PA. (Photo by Fiona Hanson - PA Images/PA Images via Getty Images) Kristin Scott-Thomas always looks chicly practical to me -- as she does here -- so her looking soooooo glam in this film is always a fun surprise. Juliette Binoche, who won the Oscar for this part, looks BEAUTIFUL. And Ralph Fiennes' mustache exists here because he was doing Chekhov's "Ivanov" on stage. (I had to dig back into my training as a Ralph Fiennes Historian to figure that out.) ## Kristin Scott Thomas ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/01/shutterstock_editorial_265991g-1643067127.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Charles Sykes/Shutterstock (265991g) KRISTIN SCOTT THOMAS 'THE ENGLISH PATIENT' FILM PREMIERE, NEW YORK, AMERICA - 1996 I've never said this before but I wish these were wide-legged pants instead. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/01/GettyImages-529817780-1643067266.jpg) FILM PREMIERE OF A. MINGHELLA'S 'THE ENGLISH PATIENT' (Photo by Frank Trapper/Corbis via Getty Images) KST really went for Basic Chic Black for all these events, didn't see? Here she is with her then husband, French doctor François Olivennes. ## Juliette Binoche ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/01/GettyImages-776556-1643067185.jpg) 285485 18: Actress Juliette Binoche attends the premiere of "The English Patient" at the Ziegfeld Theater November 12, 1996 in New York City. Binoche stars as nurse Hana in an epic story of adventure, intrigue, betrayal and love that is largely told through the eyes of an unknown, mortally wounded man. (Photo by Evan Agostini/Liaison) This feather-trimmed coat is THE HEIGHT of 1996 and, to be honest, I still want one. ## Juliette Binoche and Kristin Scott Thomas ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/01/GettyImages-667955008-1643067288.jpg) FILM PREMIERE: 'THE ENGLISH PATIENT' (Photo by Eric Robert/Sygma/Sygma via Getty Images) Juliette was ALL about feather detailing back in 1996\. As were we all. ## Naveen Andrews ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/01/GettyImages-529817852-1643067273.jpg) FILM PREMIERE OF A. MINGHELLA'S 'THE ENGLISH PATIENT' (Photo by Frank Trapper/Corbis via Getty Images) BEHOLD THIS YOUNG DREAMBOAT. (I am currently re-watching *Lost*, so I'm spending a lot of time with Naveen Andrews lately.) ## Colin Firth ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/01/GettyImages-105916517-1643067217.jpg) Colin Firth during The American Film Institute's Benefit Premiere of "The English Patient" at Mann's Bruin Theater in Westwood, California, United States. (Photo by Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) I do not have a full length shot of him, but I think we can rest assured Colin Firth did not show up to this in Speedos and a blazer. ## Julian Sands ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/01/GettyImages-156139854-1643067233.jpg) Actor Julian Sands attends 'The English Patient' Westwood Premiere on November 6, 1996 at Mann Bruin Theatre in Westwood, California. (Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) My beloved Julian Sands with floppy 90s hair might be more than I can stand! GORGEOUS. Also brutal: This happened at the Mann Bruin Theatre in Westwood, on November 6th, 1996, so I was ABSOLUTELY within a one mile radius of this moment. (In all likelihood, I was across the street at Maloney's, the bar.) It's for the best that I was unaware, as I surely would have behaved like a lunatic. ## Harrison Ford ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/01/shutterstock_editorial_265731i-1643067070.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Crollalanza/Shutterstock (265731i) HARRISON FORD 'THE ENGLISH PATIENT' FILM PREMIERE, LOS ANGELES, AMERICA - 1996 Mid-90s Harrison Ford? I'd argue they are both at the height of their respective gorgeousnesses here, whilst they were dating. (That was probably not a very even-keeled relationship.) Again, I regret that I was surely across the street dancing to "Oh, What a Night" while this was happening but...what are you gonna do? EDIT: I've been informed they were just friends. Thanks, y'all! I don't know why I thought they were dating. ## Cher ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/01/GettyImages-529505412-1643067249.jpg) FILM PREMIERE OF A.
