## Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe

I know they're long-divorced but I kinda hope the Witherspoon/Phillippe kids have this photo framed. They're not even engaged yet here. They are, however, at least lightly buzzed.

I appreciate that Reese did disco makeup but has nothing disco-y to WEAR so pulled out a random sequined scarf she happened to have. Yes, that's Harvey Weinstein lurking back there.

Yes, I pulled this photo because Reese's facial expression is so scathing. (There are others where the men are yakking and her face is more neutral.) Look at all the drinks on this table! One of the flutes of champs has a cigarette in it: VERY 1998.

## Natalie Portman and Lauren Holly

Also very 1998: Natalie's little cardigan.

Look, Lauren Holly had fun at this party and so what!! In the immortal words of Kirsten Johnston's SATC character, whatever happened to fun!?

## Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek: Absolutely breathtaking. Yes, her hair is inexplicably crimped.

I also hope both of these people have THIS photo framed.

## Lil' Kim

"Hello, yes? I have a question? Do we have homework tonight?"

## Melissa Joan Hart

Melissa Joan Hart (Photo by SGranitz/WireImage)

This is SO 1998 and also this is one of the cutest photos of her that I've ever seen. She looks totally adorable.

## David Chokachi and Michael Bergen

David Chokachi and Michael Bergen (Photo by SGranitz/WireImage)

For some reason, I thought David Chokachi had died but good news: HE LIVES. He's also married to a big-wig at Gucci so he might run into Salma at work stuff for their respective spouses. Michael Bergen is now doing real estate, which also tracks! He also dated Carolyn Bessette right before JFK Jr and wrote a book in 2004 claiming they were still sleeping together when she died. This did NOT go over well.

## Andy Dick

Honestly, Andy Dick looks great here. (It's an open secret in LA that Andy Dick is not in a good way but also hasn't been in a good way for like 20 years so.)

## Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Kimberly McCullough

I enjoy that they're both making the same Resigned Tight Smile. I did NOT know Freddie dated Robin Scorpio before he dated Buffy! (There was about a year left on this relationship at this point.)

## Seth Green and Alyson Hannigan

SPEAKING OF BUFFY.

## Tara Reid

Apologies for the nipples, which I suspect were not intentional and which are pretty tasteful here, considering. She looks very cute here. I had the knock-offs of those shoes.

## Anna Paquin

90% of women who were adults in 1998 owned some version of this look. (I do miss the late 90s take on the early 60s. Late late late 90s Prada!!! A DREAM.)

## Heather Matarazzo

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/07/GettyImages-105918336-1722471998-scaled.jpg)

We also owned a version of this.

## Erika Alexander

This outfit is wild and I love her for that. (We learned this past awards season that she loves a bright color.)

## Elijah Wood

I, too, owned those sunglasses. They came from *Urban Outfitters*.

## Bill Bellamy

BILL IS READY FOR DISCO.

## Nancy O'Dell

Nancy O'Dell also WENT FOR IT.

## Marisa Berenson and daughter

All hail the slipdress and the strappy sandal. ([Marisa Berenson has lived a very interesting life](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marisa%5FBerenson?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io).)

## Breckin Meyer and Deborah Kaplan

NOT still married; they divorced in 2014\. He's currently dating Bob Saget's widow (!) and she needs to be celebrated for having co-written and directed both *Can't Hardly Wait* AND *Josie and the Pussycats*. Where is her career renaissance? This is not a rhetorical question.

## Lauren Hutton

GLAM. From someone who knows it.

[The Premiere of "54" Was CHAOTICRemember when Mike Myers made a movie about Studio 54? ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2024/07/gettyimages-75496323-1722471834.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/the-premiere-of-54-was-chaotic-08-2024/)
