Someone bring Goop another G&T! All kidding aside: With the exception of her pashmina -- which, in her defense, was a MUST HAVE in 1998 -- this is an absolutely timeless look on Gywnnie. (I can't remember who did this dress. I want to say Prada, but it's probably Calvin Klein.) This haircut is SO good on her, too. Gwyneth has a series of iconic short haircuts, actually. Consider doing a bob again, Goop!

They were dating here, of course, and also I'd like to point out just how many leather jackets there are in this shot.

I do not know what is happening here, but this suit on Ethan Hawke has actually aged incredibly well. (Also, I think this premiere was at a movie theatre in Century City that is no longer there because they put the new CAA building in that spot. There also used to be a proper theatre there and it is where I, as a small child, saw Cats AND Les Mis! RIP Shubert Theatre!)

Ethan Hawke, Anne Bancroft and Gwyneth Paltrow

I need to explain that Ethan Hawke's hair is not messed up from whatever he was doing with Gwyneth's pashmina. Men just did this to their hair in 1998. Also, how dreamy is Anne Bancroft?

Obviously, Mel Brooks agrees. (Anne Bancroft was Miss Havisham in this particular adaptation, which I've actually never seen.)

Weiland has a solo song in the film's soundtrack," Informative Caption tells us. I do NOT remember this song, but Wikipedia has the fascinating tidbit that "the song features the stylistic guest-accordion work of Sheryl Crow." Anyway, Scott had a great voice. And also I believe I owned those pants.
