This was the end of July, so that's why many folks at this event look like they've gotten a little sun. Yet again, I cannot stress enough how many people had and carried a pashmina in 1999. I feel like InStyle had a fresh pashmina article every single month in 1999. (I have pashminas for the plane now and love them for traveling! But it's funny to me how low-key obsessed everyone was with a thin blanket at all times in 1999. It probably had to do with some kind of need for security under the looming spectre of Y2K which, yes, young readers, we actually were a little concerned might explode all our computers.)
