Unimaginably, we actually had a doily-off on this night. Both of them with an underlying bra theme and uneven skirt. This lace-cutting is more impressive, but it's a hard pass on both of them for me. Her bodice looks like a repurposed bra and thong set from La Perla.

Allison Janney in Pamella Roland

She is as dishy as ever, and I wish this had gold shoes. Also, between her and Baranski, Drinks With Broads is getting LEGGY.

Wow, she was WHOLLY COMMITTED to the plunge this weekend. This one is the least dramatic, though, and is the one I like the best.

I like this, but I also think she comes across as heavily overdressed somehow. Would less formal styling have helped, or is this just a dress for another time?

Saoirse Ronan in Prada

... Hmm. It's not bad in theory, but it's a little short. There was a shot I didn't use of her hugging Beanie Feldstein, and she only bent over a little and the dress rode up quite a bit in the back. I can't imagine having to sit in it.

She is getting funky-experimental on us, and I like it. This one is more effective for me than the highly costumey one from the after-parties.

This honestly looks like a very fancy makeup blouse -- something your stylist gives you to put on while you're getting your hair and makeup done, but which doesn't have to come off over your head, so it won't smudge anything. Margot has seemed sort of dazed on a lot of the red carpets; I hope she's enjoying this, because she really is quite remarkable in I, Tonya.
