Tracee Ellis Ross arrives at the 29th annual Producers Guild Awards at the Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills, Calif
2018 Producers Guild Awards - Arrivals, Beverly Hills, USA - 20 Jan 2018
Tracee is doing yeoman's work trying to pull off this Tory Burch, which is SO Tory Burch that I'm surprised it's not a carpet at one of her stores. About 60 percent of me loves it on her, and the rest thinks it's too much for anyone, and also boxy like a Volvo.

WEARING ELIE SAAB
She has looked VERY cool lately. I am also impressed with the level of hoisting she's getting from that top.
Greta Gerwig in Monse

Greta Gerwig
Producers Guild Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 20 Jan 2018
Greta's expression, to my biased eyes, says, "Yes, you are right, this mess of seams is Monse. I don't know what I was thinking. Thank God I got this out of the way on a night when no one is really watching." OH BUT WE ARE.
Gwyneth Paltrow in Alex Perry

Gwyneth Paltrow
Producers Guild Awards, Inside, Los Angeles, USA - 20 Jan 2018
WEARING ALEX PERRY
Gwyneth is standing near this shrub because she was introducing Ryan Murphy, who won an award for something-something, and Gwynnie was on Glee and is engaged to Murphy's producing partner. So. That said: I actually think this is cool on her. It'salmost cultish on her -- as in, she could believably have turned GOOP into one and be about to deliver her first sermon on a mound, complete with some kind of magic staff made from jade vagina eggs. It's also a lot more interesting and structural than what she's worn lately. Is Gwyneth feeling it again?!?
Margot Robbie in Louis Vuitton

2018 Producers Guild Awards WEARING LOUIS VUITTON
Well, color me surprised that LV was so restrained. About the only thing this has in common with its current offerings is the floral strap, which is reminiscent of their cool French aristocrat coats. But this overall feels more Meryl Streep than Margot Robbie.
Kerry Washington in Paolo Sebastian

2018 Producers Guild Awards - Arrivals, Beverly Hills, USA - 20 Jan 2018
This is a gown from a 2016 collection, and I do love that people aren't so het up about wearing something from two seasons ago. It makes SENSE. This stuff shouldn't have to languish, unloved. However: That's a big no on the super-severe ponytail.
Frankie Shaw in DVF

Frankie Shaw

I have not seen SMILF and I don't actually even know where to find it. Will I like it, Fug Nation? Has anyone sampled? It's fun to see a newbie on the scene, though, and these stripes are REALLY cute. As are her kicks, although they don't necessarily elevate the outfit.
Leslie Mann in Reem Acra

2018 Producers Guild Awards WEARING REEM ACRA
I would have encouraged her to sweep back her hair, methinks. The dress is loud, but it's also one of the better things Reem Acra has churned out in a long time. At least it feels like art.

2018 Producers Guild Awards WEARING ULYANA SERGEENKO
"Magic 8 Ball, do I have the Zendaya magic?" she whispered. Then she set the ball aside: "I don't need to look. I know the answer is yes," which is a pity because it actually said SIGNS POINT TO NO.
Eva Longoria in Saint Laurent

Eva Longoria

Eva, as one of the Time's Up leaders, is probably going to wear black at everything. She's on-message.

2018 Producers Guild Awards WEARING CUSTOM ARMANI PRIVE
Gal had this made for her, and it DOES fit so very perfectly, but it's clearly for a sexy vacation trousseau and not an actual public party.

This has a little more zip than some of her usuals, which I appreciate. She never dresses badly; just usually very very simply.

WEARING RHEA COSTA
These two things are TRYING to relate to each other, but it's not really working. Like a corporate trust exercise going sour. They CANNOT work together to pick up the stick with one finger each
