The 2022 BillBoard Awards Telecast

Mary J Blige

This outfit looks sort of like what might happen if you made one out of Shrinky Dinks BUT Mary J., as usual, is rocking it. Her speech was great and I love her bangs.

Janet Jackson

I don't yet have a credit for this but it feels like Thom Browne (a line she wears often). (Thom Browne also has a LOT of imitators lately.) This is sort of how it would feel if Janet Jackson were Mary Poppins, to me. A development, to be clear, I would welcome.

Megan Thee Stallion

Megan is a GREAT performer and she did as well as ever, but this entire program felt like it lacked oomph and I can only blame that on, like, astrological forces. She looks undeniably good in this. (For a performance, obviously. Maybe not for like the flea market or something.)

Latto

Oooh, haireography!

Becky G

It's a high percentage of leotard night for the ladies of the Billboard Awards; Becky G's hair ALSO looked great. She's very charismatic.

Shenseea s

I don't know if I like this but I DO want to touch it.

Maxwell

This was a salute to Michael Jackson and I do not know what said salute was pinned to! Maybe Maxwell called and said he wanted to do it? This show lacked narrative focus.

Sean "Diddy" Combs

Diddy's hosting was....technically fine! He plugged his own companies a lot, but that does seem on brand. Here, he looks like he might be trying to make weight for the wrestling team.
