The designer calls this the "Vase Dress" and it was originally designed to cover her face. Bluntly: This is not successful. (Apparently, it also literally smells like potpourri, which seems like a trick you should work on AFTER you've nailed the design.) The top around her face does not work; I think you can get the same vase-vibe with the (interesting enough) hem detailing. She looks like she's a Beauty and the Beast character from a community theatre production where the costumer bit off more than she could chew.
