I think a huge part of it is that the hair LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE WHAT IT IS and therefore it is easier to imagine it being on someone's head. Also, ELEVEN POUNDS OF HAIR! Imagine the wigs that could make for people who need them!

His was better constructed; this is bunching and also uneven around her chest, and has distracting visible seams that his did not. Also, he leaned into the camp with his styling in a fun way. And she was a nominee! This is a bummer.
