This race goer, Lisa Tan, is a milliner, and as you can imagine, her hats are always excellent. She's worn a variation of this one before.

Here she is again. This one feels perfect for Pride, with the rainbow bow.

She showed up to represent for the It's a Giant Flower on My Head girlies!

So did she!

This hat feels like beautiful, delicate lint. In a good way!

This is just very elegant and pretty.

This is so fun; it's like a tricorne hat meets a taco. But fancy!

This backdrop did occasionally make me think that people were wearing FAR more dramatic hats than they actually were.

These are like delicate paper cranes.

This is absolutely a fancy napkin and I LOVE it.

This is very elegant, subtle...burlap?! Well done!

Her hat isn't that dramatic, but this entire look is so good and fun and bright.

I assume their color stories here are a reference to Ukraine, which is nice.

We're in the Elegant Colorful Bush on My Head portion of this collection.

And it continues!

Someone always brings the butterflies!

When else are you going to tie a bouquet to your head but Royal Ascot?! I love it.

I also just thought this woman looked great. I hope she had the best time!

I just also liked this. (I feel like the straight out BONKERS HUGE hats were not as prevalent this year.)

At first, I thought her hat was a duck, but it is sadly not. More duck hats next year, please!

This, on the other hand, definitely is part bird! Someone heard my cry!

And this is VERY chic feathers!

Take two! This has a slight Anne of Green Gables vibe.

This is a PLATTER and also just clever sun shade, honestly.

Nothing to see here, please move along. JK. I don't know who the woman wearing the fun feather platter is, but the person you are looking at is Daniel Lismore, an artist who describes himself as "living sculpture." His Instagram here says "Since 1711 @ascotracecourse has had a very strict dress code for the #royalenclosure. What can I say. I followed the guidelines!" I love it. This is amazing.

This is a very consistent color story! What fun.

This is for you pleat enthusiasts!

I do love this play on Royal Ascot menswear for a woman.

Same concept, but in red!

These hats are very pretty and reasonable and not very dramatic, and I think I pulled this photo just because I really like the middle dress.

I also just liked this dress. Sometimes I want you to see people who just look very nice and seem to be having a great time!

This reminds me: I sincerely love it when people wear hats that recall a VERY fancy and complex chip-and-dip. This is so fun.

Also vaguely Chic Chip-and-Dippy! Also fun!

Delicate and slightly like a fancy, re-imagined Choco Taco? A COMPLIMENT.

This puffball hat is a DELIGHT.

We're now in the section of the slideshow I think of as "These Hats Are Leaning Over!"

She brought her friends! I am surprised to see two of the Feather Pastel Bullseye Hat and I hope they found each other and took a sassy pic.

This is also slightly lean-y. (This construction might drive me personally mad.)

Extremely lean-y. (And very pretty.)

This is DELIGHTFULLY tropical.

This is tremendously fun.

Ooooh, it's like very grand laundry has floated down and landed -- beautifully! - on her head. (She is also a milliner, so of course her hat is striking and gorgeous.)

I've missed the hats where people might be stuck in a beautiful bush. They are fun!

This is a lovely example of a hat that's like Pretty Flowers Perched on the Edge of a Plate.

Also slightly plate-forward. But a very summery plate!

This is like the hat version of a glorious dandelion.

This just feels CLASSIC.

Here's some drama for you! (For a moment, I thought this was Michelle Williams.)

So charming!
