(EXCLUSIVE, Premium Rates Apply) LOS ANGELES - JANUARY 01, 1982: Andy Taylor ( second from left ) of Duran Duran and his wife Tracey at their wedding at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles, California. \*\*EXCLUSIVE\*\* (Photos by Brad Elterman/FilmMagic)

This wedding was held at the Chateau Marmont and truly this photo should be filed under THE 80S in the Encyclopedia Britannica, which no longer exists.

Wiki informs me that "Rhodes met Julie Anne Friedman (heiress to the Iowa, USA Younkers Department Store fortune) at a yacht party," I will happily read -- or perhaps write! -- a novel about an 80s super pop-star who falls for a department store heiress on a yacht.

## Roger Taylor Marries Giovanna Cantone

The wedding day of Duran Duran drummer Roger Taylor (second right) and Giovanna Cantone (centre), with the couple posing alongside Taylor's bandmates (keyboardist Nick Rhodes (left), singer Simon Le Bon (second left), and bassist John Taylor) on the Bay of Naples in Naples, Italy, on 30th July 1984\. Speaking of boats! Roger Taylor and Giovanna Cantone got married on (in?) the Bay of Naples. This photo sort of makes it look like they got married on the ferry. John Taylor there at the end looks so jaunty!

## Simon Le Bon Marries Yasmin

Despite not being able to see what Yasmin is actually wearing -- it looks a bit like a nightgown here -- this is probably the legitimately best wedding photo. They look so happy!
