"The Beguiled" Premiere
Elle is really feeling herself here, and rightly. She looks fantastic. Sofia is wearing Chanel, obviously, and she looks very chic and professional. The two women at the end are Angourie Rice and Addison Riecke, who look charming as well. Basically, everyone at this premiere looks fantastic -- let's take a closer look.

And this is so romantic and great on her. There were photos of her crying on the red carpet; it seemed to be with sentimentality, rather than with sadness. I just want to hug you, Kirsten. And also then maybe steal your earrings.

Let's rewind to the photocall. Apologies to Kiki and Sof for the fact that this is a terrible shot of BOTH of them, which I didn't realize until it was too late (I was just looking at Colin). Kidman is amazingly good at making it seem like she adores everyone she's in a photo with -- or maybe she just likes everyone.

I don't know if the black shoes are quite right with this, but I love this dress on Kiki. (It reminds me of Duchess Kate's White Zimmermann dress that I love so much I bought one for myself.) I also recently read an article in The Hollywood Reporter that Sofia Coppola asked Dunst to loose weight for this part and Kiki was like, "nope," and Sofia had to be like, "okay then," which also makes me love her only more.

This dress is, to me, ostensibly gorgeous, but I wonder if it's washing Nicole out a bit. I keep imagining it on Naomie Harris and she looks fantastic in it, though.

The movie they're promoting is set in the 19th century American south, and I feel like Elle might have just stolen this from the costume department, where it was playing the role of Her Ancient Undergarments. Appropos of nothing: Whatever happened to Dakota?

I like all these pieces in THEORY and not at all in practice, but she continues to have the haircut that I keep trying to get my Hair Dude to recreate on my head.
