Frances McDormand
Press Room - 24th Screen Actors Guild Awards, Los Angeles, USA - 21 Jan 2018
Frances McDormand poses for Female Actor in a Leading Role for 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,' during the 24th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles, California, USA, 21 January 2018. The SAG Awards honors the best achievements in film and television performances.
Frances McDormand is really eschewing waists this awards season. I keep imagining her calling her stylist and saying, "A housedress, but make it FANCY."

This is BONKERS but I also kinda like it? I don't know. It's fun. If the whole dress had been that swiss-dot material, I would have been wholeheartedly on-board.

And while I will never love this cold-shoulder look, she AS EVER is tailored to the nines. Niecy Nash really knows what she's doing.

This is great on her. I might have added a colorful cocktail ring -- ruby, maybe -- but basically she is perfect.

I bet this is one of those frocks that is delicate and gorgeous in real life and a wee bit washed out in photos.

This is very confusing. It's like she's wearing a formal sports bra convention.

I'm not generally a fan of the lariet necklace, but...that is a TINY nit to pick on an otherwise v. successful look from the Muffman househouse.

This is also excellent. Remember when she used to roll up to stuff in jean shorts over tights?

Truly, a red lip on Yael. (And a cute bob, that I was unaware was happening on her head because I am SUPER BEHIND on Jane the Virgin.)
Abbie Cornish in Philosophy

Oh, Abbie. This is so close. (Unrelated: Elizabeth: The Golden Something Or Other -- the Cate Blanchett movie that's the sequel to Elizabeth that they couldn't call Elizabeth II for obvious reasons -- is currently on rotation on the mive channels, and she is in it. That movie is not good, you guys.)
