This is an exceptional way to start. She had this made for the blackout Golden Globes, and it looked divine and was styled to perfection.

Great lipstick, and the falling-leaves pattern is so striking.

I was surprised how well the ice blue and white accessories worked.

Dear Brenda and Kelly: This is how it's done.

That zig-zag is so cool -- I wanted to work in some stuff that wasn't all super formal grandeur.

That's an excellent bracelet, and a super color. It's also nice to see someone shining in a brand that wasn't as widespread on the red carpet back then (and in fact is no longer in existence).

Magnificent.

Let's just pause for a second and admire how amazing both of these women look.

Her head looks FANTASTIC, her bracelets are good, and she glows in this color. I like that the frock has a more semi-formal feel to it and Viola is adding the pizzazz.

I'd never seen this one before. It's a win: great bracelets, metallic shoes, and some funky accents.

A pause for some streamlined glam.

And here, back to some very effective quirk.

This is phenomenal styling.

And this. THIS is how you show up to win your Oscar. It's perfectly fit, it's ultra-confident, it's glamorous but it doesn't overshadow the wearer... it's the jackpot.

And, she hit it twice.
