I honestly just pulled this snap because it's a cute photo. I have no idea who she's waving to. Maybe she's checking to see if Kim Kardashian can see her!

This seemed divisive on Instagram, but I sort of like it. The styling might be a bit overwrought, and she's got to be TIRED OUT, since we're also in the middle of NYFW, but I don't think it's bad.

Look at that very good dog back there!

This feels very pleasantly 80s to me.

This is very fun on her, in general, although I don't know how I feel about the return of the belly chain. (This was a last minute invite for sure, though, and Chanel showed up for her!)

Okay, excuse me, but this is DREAMY.

So is this! OdlR had an excellent night -- as well they should at this particular event.

Is it weird that I wish these were PANTS?

Indya is VERY COOL and they are carrying this off better than anyone has a right to, given that it's like....formal boxer shorts and the Scarlet Pimpernel's cloak.

Rebecca Hall in Batsheva

I think it's rad that someone wore this brand to the Met -- it sucks that we see so few small brands at this event -- but also this dress is a bit of a can of mixed nuts and all of a sudden she looks like Kristen Wiig? How long has THAT been happening?

Eugene Lee Yang

This is a VERY cool look; the necklace is Erickson Beamon, but I haven't seen a credit on the rest of it yet. He's very well-styled, though.

Lewis Hamilton in Kenneth Nicholson

Kenneth Nicholson is a small American menswear brand and this outfit is really good. Additionally, Hamilton bought a whole table at the event and invited several emerging Black designers as his guests, including Nicholson, which is really cool and quite generous. (Apparently, he also had a horrific crash in a race on Sunday? He's had a big week!)

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 13: Lewis Hamilton with (L-R) US Olympian Miles Chamley-Watson, US designer Kenneth Nicholson, Lewis Hamilton, US designer Law Roach, Kehlani, stylist Jason Rembert, US athlete Sha'Carri Richardson, Theophilio designer Edvin Thompson and model Alton Mason attend The 2021 Met Gala Celebrating In America: A Lexicon Of Fashion at Metropolitan Museum of Art on September 13, 2021 in New York City. (Photo by Mike Coppola/Getty Images)

I believe, but am not entirely sure, that this is his table. (All the reportage I've read so far has been a little vague, I presume because I'm writing this at 4:30am East Coast time and no one over there is very alert right now.) We've got, from left to right: US Olympian Miles Chamley-Watson, Kenneth Nicholson, Lewis Hamilton, Law Roach, Kehlani, Jason Rembert, Sha'Carri Richardson, Theophilio designer Edvin Thompson, and model Alton Mason. This looks like a very cool table.

Channing Tatum in Versace

Channing looks like Channing! (I honestly think he's just there as Zoe Kravitz's date.) It's WILD to me that a man wouldn't just wear an American tux to this event. Call Ralph Lauren! Talk to Tom Ford? THIS IS EASY.

Kit Harrington in Saint Laurent

This is well fitted but also a bit on the Can I Offer You a Drink Ma'am side.

I dig this purposefully rumpled experience.

Taika Waititi looks slightly like he's drifting back into his vampire persona.

Elliot Page in Balenciaga

Elliot looks good! I might have done a little wider leg on the pants OR a little narrower jacket. Nothing extreme but I feel like the proportions here need a teeeeny bit of fiddling.
