I know she said she was making an effort to dress a bit more simply in her role as a director -- not necessary, as far as I'm concerned, but I get it -- and I think this is a good compromise. Simple, but with a dash of flash. And a dark lip to boot.

It's nice to see her in a suit right when another famous suit of hers -- the one she wore to Bugsy -- was just immortalized in Ryan Murphy's "Love Story" because he claims Carolyn Bessette picked it out. Annette ALSO didn't punt on the lipstick.
