Taraji P. Henson in custom Balmain

Okay, so I liked this, and then I looked at it even closer, and I'm sure it's NOT but it LOOKS like it's strung with a bunch of hair and now I'm creeped out. WIGGED OUT, you might say. Har.

Ice Spice in Versace 2004

It feels like she's turning into Paris Hilton.

Tinashe in Guvanch Agajumayev

This is like if the old pirate ship at Treasure Island in Las Vegas just washed up on a beach.

Yvette Nicole Brown

This is a little intense. Like a headache in dress form.

LIl' Mo

She is ready for a new-look Village People.

Jessica Betts, Niecy Nash

Jessica Betts's coat rules. Niecy is so charismatic that I can't decide if the bodice is crazy or if it kinda works. Both?

Madisin Rian in Sixdo

This is a beautiful fabric but surely she has to move through the party at an angle in order to see?

Angela Simmons

She is carrying a bejeweled fake gun that I ASSUME is also a purse, but which she waved around and got a kick of posing with, and... if I can be a humorless prig about it for a second, I hate it and feel like no one is reading ANY rooms here.

Akon

Somebody made those shoes. Presumably on purpose. And then he BOUGHT them. The world is WILD.

Tiunde Oyeneyin

One of my badass Peloton favorites looks amazing in gold. It's one of the best dresses of the night.

Durrell Dupard

Oh, God, it's so much afghan. Even his tie. It's... everywhere.

Mickey Guyton in Cult Gaia

Sure, okay.

Lala Milan

I have less than zero understanding of why this is happening to her chest. The dress appears to have a strap under there. It's just... putting the bodice in the wrong place. I don't... why.

Flau'jae Johnson

She is a musician AND a college basketball player for LSU. And her dress ALSO doesn't know how to fit her chest. Has everyone forgotten how to handle boobs?

Rachel Lindsay

This works surprisingly well.

Coco Jones in Retrofête

At least this one has everything wrangled, however precariously.

Spice

I cannot think of a single thing to say. She made a bra and put it on over a very long sparkly tube.

Porscha Coleman

She has come in costume as a casino carpet.

Monét, Keke Palmer, Sade and Lashay of Divagurl

Keke Palmer has apparently decided she really likes this girl group, so she's going to call herself Keyana?!? At no point can I tell whether this is fictional or real, but... there she is. With three people dressed as 2004.

T.I.

Why does he look like he's picking someone up from soccer practice?

Muni Long

It's a shirt. It's a LIGHTLY overgrown going-out shirt.

Victoria Monet

If you held a magnet to this dress, everything would fly out of it and it'd just drop off.

Wyclef Jean

Cheerful!

Kway

REALLY cheerful!

Diarra Kilpatrick

I vote for a necklace.

Megan Thee Stallion

Hmm. Fancy Borat.

Taraji P. Henson

This is the second pic of her walking around backstage in Birks, which are clearly her Between Setups comfort shoes. SPOILER there's another one coming.

This top ALSO seems boobularly questionable.

I would love this career pivot for her. Hit the road with Steve Martin and the Mumfords.

And Finally, The Bold and Bright Rest of the BETs

Starring, yes, Taraji P. Henson.
