Everyone looks very cozy indeed here. The texture on the Queen's coat is visually interesting.

Camilla looks very Camilla-y -- her beloved pearl choker, a feathered hat -- and given that she's been super sick over the last few weeks, I'm sure she's ready to climb back into the car and go to sleep after standing out in the cold all morning.

So, I love this. It's VERY Victorian feeling, and slightly militaristic, which is appropriate, and that is a vaguely threatening-in-a-good-way HAT. This whole thing feels sort of INTENSE in a way that is unusual for Kate and I'm into it.

This is all very reasonable and also quite cozy!

Sophie's coat is sort of boring -- but, you know, better to err on the side of dull for an event like this -- but her hat is snazzy (she is, I suspect, going to be Camilla's successor in the Hat That Looks Like a Chip And Dip Sweepstakes).

This is nice! The hat frames her face very prettily. (This WAS a great opportunity for Meghan to wear some of the super subtle jewelry she loves, but it also makes sense that when the rest of the family dials down to super subtle jewelry, Meghan's "dial down" on the jewelry front is no jewelry.)

I always enjoy the logistical set-up here. Don't you just want to Mr. Princess Anne lean over the edge and yell at Camilla that he's got that book she wanted to borrow, don't let him forget to give it to her afterward? Although that would not be seemly.

You know what I always say: Just as everyone is hotter in sunglasses, so perhaps all princes are hotter in hats.

These coats are quite dashing, as usual; also as usual, I assume Anne likes that she is allowed to wear trousers in the cold.
