Ah, Viggo. You are so Viggo. Matt Ross back there, whom you might recognize from Big Love and Silicon Valley -- he's great in both -- wrote and directed the film. He's such a weasel on TV; it's weird to admit he looks great. And I didn't have available a better shot of Trin Miller's fun confetti-like gown, which kills me because it's so chipper and cool. It reminds me of that kids' book Press This, with shades of Eric Carle's illustrations. If we get a picture I'll update with it.

AND LO: I have one! That thing is funky as all hell, to put it elegantly and eloquently. I still maintain the Eric Carle likeness. This looks like his lost classic The Poppy That Threw Itself A Birthday Party.

I can't decide if I like this or not. It might be a LITTLE aggressive, with the lacy back AND the military detailing on the front AND the ruffles and high neck and sleeves AND tiny stars. But I do at least love that it's a totally unexpected dress, unlike anything else we saw.

I don't ENTIRELY understand it, but possibly she's just getting ready to clip into a harness so she can yet yanked away as soon as she's done and avoid traffic.

When you look at the family photo, I feel like all the kids are very well-cast. Annalise's dress is very pretty; redheads are often told, wrongly I think, not to wear red. I love that she said SCREW THAT and not only wore it...

... but wore THE HECK OUT OF IT. She looks like a lovely crimson butterfly.
