# The Creative Arts Emmys Were a Shiny Prelude to Monday's Festivities

The Creative Arts Emmys are held the week before the Other Emmys, which means, yes,[ on Monday](https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/tv/2022/09/06/emmy-awards-2022-what-to-know/7884023001/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) we have a big shebang to cover. It ALSO means that the main titles folks (*Severance*) and stunt coordinators and composers and such get to have a moment; other winners included *Love on the Spectrum,* Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf, Colman Domingo, and very movingly, Chadwick Boseman. It was for an episode of *What If* called "[What if T'Challa Became Star Lord?](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What%5FIf...%5FT%27Challa%5FBecame%5Fa%5FStar-Lord%3F?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)" and was obviously recorded before his death -- it is cited as his final performance -- and released in August of 2021 (animation takes a long time!). It's hard to know how to pivot from that to talking about dresses, but [Chadwick LOVED outfits](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/chadwick-boseman-was-also-a-king-of-the-red-carpet-08-2020/), so I think he'd be okay with it.
