I mean. I love her. She's a great actress and I'm sure her performance will be well modulated, but how fun would it be if Olivia Colman just decided, "I'm gonna play the Queen like she's a really HILARIOUS BROAD."

YES. We need MORE thumbs ups from the Queen!

More pointing!

More aggressive waving! (That's Josh O'Connor, who is playing Charles, and he ALSO seems like a pleasure.)

Here, we add in Tobias Menzies as Philip. He looks physically like better casting here than Matt Smith was (to my mind, anyway).

They appear to be filming this on location at Caernarfon, and will someone please write my longed-for Logistics of The Crown article? Thank you.

I think that's Ben Daniels, who plays Tony Armstrong-Jones (formerly played by Matthew Goode) with Chaz here.

Josh O'Connor looks like reasonable casting here -- he doesn't seem as lanky as the real Charles was at this point in his life, and I think he's more actor-handsome than Charles was -- but..

The ears are well-rendered. Let's do this thing.
