I mean, who hasn't...you know, really super-trashed their fancy bedroom in Kensington Palace after a terrible fight with their awful spouse that turned to hate-sex?

I mean, this is an intense level of needling one's spouse.

I'm quite sure I said this last time we were at the Tennents London townhome set, but I DIE for this wallpaper. It's DIVINE.

Philip didn't have much to do in this episode, other than take Tony's side in a lot of things, but he did give a long monologue about how they're living in exhausting times and every day you think it can't get any worse and then you see the headlines the next morning and I feel like that was just something Peter Morgan needed to get off his chest. I sympathize.

I couldn't get a great shot of this caftan in full-length, because Olivia Colman was moving throughout, but it is great.

As is this, frankly. Even if this WAS a dinner were Margaret tells her family that Tony is a shitheel and they all try to convince her otherwise.

Our new book has a very pertinent scene set on the royal train at the moment, and it's real useful to be able to see it here. Thanks, Uncle Peter!

Truly, this is a pathological thing to do to someone.

Having said that, while Tony might be a shitty husband, his country-home decor tastes are FANTASTIC.

PERSONALLY, if I were Margaret, I WOULD want people to wake me up when I reached my destination.

Truly, I feel like we've seen this frock on Kate Middleton already.

All these early 70s swimsuits are CUTE.

I covet ALL of this. The Missoni-ish towel, the Liberty-print swimsuit, Margaret's dress.

And this bit, where she takes Roddy into town to buy him a swimsuit was really fun -- both their flirting, and everyone at the tiny store being like, "UM HOLY SHIT IT'S PRINCESS MARGARET."

I told you this episode was all about sunglasses.

Also a top hat, and a boa.

This dress on Anne Tennant truly looks like a current Ulla Johnson.

This is not a mock-up of a real Jubilee mug, but there are SO many of them and....I want one. Here is the real one that Tony designed, also. (Those are affiliate links to Etsy, btw. Where I buy all of my royal mugs!)

Get ready for some OUTFITS in Mustique! (Colin Tennant here OWNED Mustique and whoops lost all his money in buying it and had to go into exile.)

I swear to god, Banana Republic sold that dress a few summers ago.

CAFTAN TIME!

HBC is so good in this part. I want those earrings AND that bathing suit.

More caftans.

ENDLESS caftans.

Honestly, until they get rumbled by the paparazzi here, this seems rather great -- even if you ARE beset by sadness and doubt about your husband/place in the world. Better to be beset on a beach with a boytoy, I always say.

This episode had a TRULY PSYCHOTIC amount of shots of cars arriving places -- but I will say that, given that we are currently writing a book with a lot of scenes set at Kensington Palace, this is logistically sort of useful to me.

I appreciated HBC's real lack of vanity in this episode. I think she's great in this role.

Ah, yes, another Back of Head Shot -- but at least this one involves much more reasonable bathroom wallpaper.

And now, the rather-tacked on Silver Jubilee and a TRULY memorable and INSANE hat on Her Majesty. I believe Heather and I saw this one in person when the Queen's wardrobe was on tour and we were in the UK to see it. IT'S AMAZING in person. God bless that hat.
