This dress/coat/coat-dress (I guess Eponine has confirmed it's a dress? I don't need this kind of uncertainty in my life, Catherine!) is a fantastic color.

Do I wish she'd worn a patterned shoe? OF COURSE. Do I think these are fine? I do.

Here's the back of Kate's coat-dress, in case you're interested. Also the back of William. He looks the way he always looks from the front. You know, bare chest, lots of jewelry, patent leather bow tie.

In which Kate doesn't wear a Band-aid because one of the British tabloids wrote a long piece over the holidays that was like KATE PLASTER SCANDAL: WHY DOES SHE WEAR SO MANY BANDAGES?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? (I assume the answer is not "uh, little kids and they have a dog and hamster and a rose garden," but is actually "blood-letting to fulfill her obligations to the Dark Lord.")

This is their visit to Child Bereavement UK, which "provides support for children and families when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement." SNIFFLE. I have to think that this one is fairly close to William's heart, as someone who was in fact bereaved as a child. I hope the art cheers everyone up. I imagine it doesn't hurt. HUGS FOR ALL YOU KIDS.

Members Of The Royal Family Attend St Mary Magdalene Church In Sandringham
KING'S LYNN, UNITED KINGDOM - JANUARY 08: (EMBARGOED FOR PUBLICATION IN UK NEWSPAPERS UNTIL 48 HOURS AFTER CREATE DATE AND TIME) Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attend the Sunday service at St Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham on January 8, 2017 in King's Lynn, England. As you admire this fur hat (or not), let me share Informative Caption, which is actually super Informative today: "Tight security measures were in place at Sandringham House, with police searching people thoroughly as the Queen made her first public appearance of 2017 after ill-health affected her festive season. She attended the morning church service at St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham, Norfolk, England on Sunday with other members of the British Royal family.
There were concerns about the monarch's health after she missed services on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, which she normally attends with other members of the royal family. Buckingham Palace said she was 'recuperating' from a heavy cold."
There is a rumor that the Queen actually didn't have a terrible cold, but that there's been a big increase in threats against her life, and in fact she was asked to stay home for her own security. This is, as far as I know, just a rumor -- she LOOKED like she had a cold, to me, although it could also conveniently be both -- but there was also an increased security force at Wills and Kate's events today (allegedly). Everyone be careful out there!
