THEORY: Angelina and Gemma Chan both wore what they would have worn to the Elle event, had they not been required to cancel. Because this, and Gemma's, seems very dressy for a photocall/Q&A situation. This reads especially discordant because the dress itself is crisp and fabulous, but -- perhaps in an effort to make it read more casual -- she didn't do a whole lot else with it. This screams for a rich deep lip, a bun and great earrings perhaps... in the end, the effect is one of "Angelina Jolie goes to a fitting for an event she has tomorrow," and not, "Angelina Jolie is at the event and this is how they decided to polish the look."

This also seems bonkers formal to me for a Q&A, which furthers my theory that she would have worn it the other night. Maybe I'm wrong, but if you had an outfit planned, and the deals were made, maybe you have to honor them (or want to) somehow. I don't love the dress? It looks like someone bought her a VERY fancy towel to wear around herself when she gets out of the shower.

She looks great -- very comfortable and cute and basic (no, that is not an insult in this context)(also, I myself am basic, so I would probably not use it as an insult REGARDLESS). Credit to Chanel for finding her things that feel right on her, as opposed to shoving her into whatever nonsense they can find.

I didn't watch Game of Thrones when he was on it, and therefore always FORGET he was on it. I think I missed the Richard Madden Love Train, though I appreciate that he looks nice here and is not just trying to pass in a hoodie.

Jon Snow also looks nice, and contemplative.

I am less enamored of this, honestly. It's trying, but the belted trench-style sportcoat is a bit dopey to me. It reads like someone made him lounging pajamas that merely look like a suit.

There's so little difference -- other than swapping out a tee for a collared shirt and tie -- that I've decided he wore the same suit to both events. I respect it. I can't imagine selecting and packing TWO nearly identical dark suits.

Sohee Park is a South Korean wunderkind of sorts who turned a talent for illustration into fashion design, and is now doing custom design work from her base in London. This is very slick on Gemma -- a case where the strip of midriff works pretty well and doesn't just feel like a skin belt.

Here's a better look at her hairpiece, which is stunning. It's a truly glittery and gorgeous moment.

That's the lip I wanted with Angie's Ralph Lauren dress.

This is fine? It's fine. It is.

And this is pretty stunning. Once again I think... something about the styling around it feels off? It sounds crazy to say that someone as striking as Angelina Jolie might need to do a little more, but the gulf between her styling and what the dress commands or demands can be surprisingly big. The gown is glam and dreamy and PERFECTLY fit, though, and LOOK at the way it hangs from her bent leg. Like liquid. It settles itself into the most balanced, graceful folds.

Zahara here is in a vintage dress, and Shiloh is wearing Versace. They look so great -- it's fun that Zahara clearly likes to go more fancy and formal, and Shiloh finds a way to keep it relaxed. Her sneakers are really fun with that (and she looks JUST like Brad to me, but with her mom's mouth). Anyway, they seem really poised under red-carpet pressure -- there were other shots of them all laughing but you couldn't see the outfits as well -- and I am glad they're enjoying it. Angie makes such heavy projects sometimes; she probably likes having something more kid-friendly to show them.

AND, she (and Gemma) also managed to coordinate with the sparkle cannons, which is definitely the way to live.
