This is the happiest she's looked in ages, too. IS IT THE SUNGLASSES?

There is a vague Max Headroom vibe to this that makes me want Rihanna to star in a program where she languidly introduces us to new musical acts while modeling a variety of interesting sunglasses. (And if someone decides to put this into production, I DO expect a cut!)

These are classic.

And these are almost exactly the same shape, but the frames are AWESOME. I fear I will spend all summer trying to track these down. (I thought they were by Pomellato, but I actually might be wrong. Pomellato people, feel free to email me about this.)

I feel like Deneuve just fished those out of whatever bag she usually carries around town. They're classic, but not Fashion Glasses. (Which is not a bad thing. I mostly only ever wear my aviators.)

I love these. Are the frames olive green?

These are sexier, which is rarely a direction she goes in, and they're GREAT on her. (I have long said that Chastain, in particular, looks great in sunglasses. I spent a lot of Zero Dark Thirty thinking, "yes, and also you look great in those glasses.")

These are RIDICULOUS. She looks like a cartoon character who fell through the wormhole between fiction and reality and is now a real person.

Cannot go wrong with a classic.

These are deliciously retro.

These are great on her -- they almost look like vintage (and might be). They're very 70s and sexier than she usually gets.

These are INSANE but in a fun way. (If you can't wear insane sunglasses in Cannes, after all...)

Elle's whole sunglasses look this week is like Sexy 70s Girl Skateboarder, which is, frankly, a movie I would watch.

Diane Kruger is apparently viewing everything in 3D.
