Her spring/summer wardrobe is in fuller force now than it was during our last post, so I think these are all new to us since Joe was elected. I want to talk to her about some fuchsia shoes, though. As in, maybe she should investigate some.

This is a stop at a vax clinic in New Mexico, with Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham. I like her mask AND these colors a lot. The shoes are fine. The neutral here works better than it did in the previous outfit, where it clashed with her also-neutral dress. Are they the SAME shoe? Was it just the lighting in that lab that made them look like a yellowy-tan?

I really want Doug Emhoff to be as delightful in real life as he seems. I've heard from people in that area that he's highly adored at Georgetown, so I'm going to say YES. Anyway: For POTUS's first speech to Congress, Jill went back to Gabriela Hearst for a near-identical black version of the cream dress she wore the evening of the inauguration. I get why she wouldn't want to wear that one again, but having another one that's so similar is funny to me -- then again, Hearst is familiar to her and uses upcycled fabric, so maybe that felt sustainable enough and also easy. But they really are SO similar. {NOTE: Apparently this was the fit sample for the Inauguration dress and she asked them to finish it so she could wear it and it wouldn't go to waste.]
