Kate went back to blond, and I SWEAR maybe we can blame the bleach for some of her history? She 100% would have picked this out on any given day, and it looks like a very expensive bag for fresh oranges.

Catherine here apparently decided a night without color meant a night without opacity. Props to her for looking fantastic, but... it's a lot, my dear. Especially for standing alongside her century-old father-in-law on-stage for an ill-timed tribute to a man with a Bad Reputation on #TimesUp night. (Globes producers: Use Google sometimes.)

Barbra Streisand apparently stinkfaced Halle from the audience when Halle came out to present something, but I wonder if it was just poorly concealed confusion about whether she was ACTUALLY seeing through this. Halle Berry is physical perfection, but as usual, this -- something she'd have worn any night of the year -- is A WHOLE LOT.

Oh, MISSI. You are a delight and this is LOONY. Is that the first Times Up pin we've seen on the site so far today, though? I didn't notice as many as I expected.

I can't tell how much of this is sheer and how much isn't, but I do know that Sharon looks like she's having a GLORIOUS time and I would like to sit at her table. I also love the cut of this dress on her; I just want to alter a FEW of the bits where I'm seeing her entire ribcage and so much underboob.

It's a LOT, Shazza, especially with your son as your date. But goodness, you look great, and I kind of suddenly think you should play Hillary Clinton in a Primary Colors-style fictionalized version of 2015-2017. Is that weird?

This was a BIT sideboob-y from some angles, even though that's a pinkish lining. I think it wanted us to wonder, and wonder I did. It needs a hoiking and just sort of hung on her, sadly. Also: JT totally tried to hijack her E! interview, and when she shut it down, suddenly 2 minutes later she was telling Ryan that Justin is a HERO and he SAVED HER FAMILY by helping care for their child while she worked on The Sinner and without him she'd be DIVORCED AND ALONE (no, really, she said that). It was a nice sentiment that she spread on so thick we couldn't even see the bread it came with anymore. Awkward.

This is a Lhuillier that's more like Elie Saab on the top and Monse on the bottom. It is not stylistically to my liking, though it fits her like a glove.

Ashley herself looks lovely, but that dress manages to be both drab AND see-through, which is a bummer.

You guys clearly will think I'm Bonkers McGee but this WAS sheer in the skirt on-stage and in other shots that we just don't have. You can see it more here. My point being: It's subtle, but SO subtle that why BOTHER? Just line it!

This is glamorous, but also looks EXTREMELY itchy in a way that I cannot shake.

This dress looks like.... a sort of very evil butterfly. It's not sheer, really, but it has pockets of what COULD be skin -- except that it's netting. It's the "sheer brethren" portion of affairs, like a distant cousin who you only see on occasional holidays or when they need a place to stay. She is killing in it, truly

Also, it has an air of a figure-skating costume to it, which feels on-target (she won for playing Tonya Harding's mother, and she DESERVED IT; she is SO BRILLIANT).

This also isn't sheer, but I did glance at the bodice for a while to be sure. Honestly, I think it is FANTASTIC on her. In The Fade won in the Foreign Film category, so it ended up being a regal, buoyantly beautiful dress on a celebratory night. Sometimes she swings hard and misses -- wait until you see, later, what she wore another ight this weekend -- but when she hits it is fashion bliss.
