I both LOVE this, and think it looks like a decoration that belongs in the lobby of the Bellagio in Vegas. Both of those things can be true, I swear.

Sure! I'll accept that amount of midriff, and we don't have a peek of navel, so that helps. Ever since her Vogue spread was so dead-eyed, and someone in the comments said that's not uncommon for her, that's all I can see now. She DOES seem sort of unimpressed.
Hilary Swank in Armani

Governors Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 18 Nov 2018
Somehow this doesn't quite look like the full million bucks on her. I'm not sure what it is. Does it fit her chest weirdly? I have a soft spot for Hilary because it must be so strange to be at a career dead-end, then suddenly be a multiple Oscar winner, and then be back without great movie roles. She's repping What They Had, which co-stars Michael Sjannon and Robert Forster, but I can't get a read on what its chances are. I'd be up for another Swankissance, though.

The sequin work on this looks messy rather than funky. It looks like someone's random collection.

This would be a better dress without the feather bodice. Right?

I love her, and do not love this dress nearly as much. The bodice seems lackluster, when theoretically it's supposed to be very dreamy.

Lisa runs Netflix's documentary wing, and I don't care for her dress on its own, but a big thumbs-up to her for picking bold color and getting exactly the right lipstick with it. I just wish the drawstring waist were more inspiring. (Is a drawstring waist ever inspiring?)

That skirt is just some seriously gorgeous work, and I wish her shoes were sparkly. Maybe gold or silver. Just a little something to wink at us from down there.

Lord knows we here at GFY are caftan-friendly, but the seam where red meets blue seems a little wonky somehow? This could be better executed, I think, but I love the idea and I think Rashida is giving it sass.

Gemma is so lovely, but that is baggy and wrinkly, and her hair looks like it's falling out. None of this -- other than the color -- services her as she should be.

And that's also very pretty, but I prefer the contrast in Kathryn's dress. Not that it has to be a contest, of course, but that's why her black-and-blue is less like a bruise to me and more like a statement.

I find those shredded sleeves both ridiculous and fabulous. They would be annoying as hell to wear, I think, but she looks SO dramatic in those. And they fit. The Vera Wang maxi-pad dress will always be a favorable barometer for her future outfits.

I do like this very clean version with the pop of white, though. I think the dark red/black color combo needs it so that it doesn't get too heavy.

I feel like when he chose his socks and shoes, he had completely forgotten what his upper half was wearing. They are all wrong, and the pants tailoring is terrible, but hey: It's nice to see DUDES plagued by the evils of satin, for once.
