Bella also walked a couple couture shows, including this one, in which she wore a sheer shirt -- which you may see again in the Paris Couture roundup, because I accidentally downloaded it too. But there's no harm in seeing it twice. It cracks me up. She looks like the villain in a REALLY outdated Bond film in which the enemy Russian prison guard cannot resist the allure of his sexist cracks about guns and occasional allusions to whether she can squeeze a trigger with finesse.

And then of course by the end she's dressing like this and James has sex with her on a boat that -- we see when the camera pulls away -- is actually hanging from a helicopter as it flies over the pyramids. (She'll fall overboard somewhere between movies, never to be seen again.)

This was all over the front page of the Evening Standard one night this week, and it gave me a jolt. It's... heinous. Margiela is known more for experimentation than actual wearable stuff, but there was something off-putting to me about the appearance of having her mouth clamped shut. (Maybe that was the point; I don't know.) But I read an article by a US publication that opined, with total sincerity, "At first this reminded me of my orthodontal headgear, but if Bella Hadid is saying it's cool then maybe it is!!" THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT'S WRONG WITH EVERYTHING. 1) Bella Hadid is getting paid to wear this as part of an art collection, essentially, so she's not saying anything. 2) She's really not saying anything because her lips may or may not be clamped shut. 3) HAVE A SPINE. 4) Seriously, stick to your friggin' guns. It's headgear, whether Bella wears it or not.

Gigi

Meanwhile, Gigi Hadid... did not do much at all, other than wear her own pants with suspect buckles. It's like her legs are turning into Birkenstocks.
