Melissa McCarthy in Marchesa

At first I thought maybe this was too... everything: too buttoned up, too long-sleeved, too Marmee March. I might honestly still feel that way, BUT I appreciate that a) it's different, b) the detailing is interesting, and c) she gave it the PERFECT insouciant lip and shoe. If she hadn't, we'd be in snoozeville, but she livened up the joint. She's Marmee but hitting the town. (Edited to add: Sadly, it's Marchesa, a brand with which I still struggle due to its ongoing Weinstein connections.)

Tiffany Haddish in Galia Lahav

Whereas this is what Amy March will wear to Laurie's funeral, after she has poisoned him. Which she will. Mark my words.

Elisabeth Moss in Vivienne Westwood

And this is what Jo will wear once she liberates herself from Professor Bhaer, realizes that she has to do some more living for herself AND for Beth, and hits the big city for a sexy night out where she meets the woman AND man of her dreams and ends up in a progressive polyamorous relationship.

Margo Martindale

And good old Aunt March is like, "HOT DAMN YOU GIRLS TURNED OUT TO BE INTERESTING."

Britney can guest-star as the ghost of Beth, still SORT OF wearing a nightie.

Andrea Berloff

Andrea is the writer-director, and her dress is super interesting. There's a LOT going on, but somehow it all comes together really well for me.

Nicole Byer

I am concerned that Nicole's original top fell through, and she had to get crafty with some button-fly Levi's.

James Badge Dale

I almost didn't recognize James, because I still only picture him from 24. He looks kinda like he's trying to channel James Tupper from Men In Trees (and other things) and as if he cannot move his arms in that jacket.

Domhnall Gleeson

Domhnall always looks like he has just learned a DELICIOUS gossip and can barely keep it from bubbling out of his mouth. Seat me next to him, please.
