It's shorts, but the blazer attached to the shorts on one side and then wraps around OVER the shorts on the other. The effect is more lopsided than chic. ## Lindsey Vonn ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919477_164-1499959258.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Her style is improving, on the whole, but it's still a TAD Disney Starlet Reaching For Maturity. ## Michelle Obama ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/GettyImages-813549224-1499959315.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CA - JULY 12: Former First Lady Michelle Obama speaks onstage at The 2017 ESPYS at Microsoft Theater on July 12, 2017 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images) This looks cool on her. I like how the slanted parts of the shoes play with, but don't exactly mimic, the neckline. (I also heard she kicked off the heels the second she got off-stage and put on flats for hanging out.) ## Aly Raisman ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919477_049-1499961140.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Nice job, Madison. She is here, again, a valuable utility player. ## Laurie Hernandez ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919328_059-1499958844.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. She is DARLING. But I want to snip off the flower so that this overwhelms her less. It's just not necessary. ## Gabby Douglas ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919477_126-1499959162.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Sometimes it looks like balled up newspaper, sometimes it looks like pieces of the dress are being peeled away, or paint flaking off a wall to reveal what's underneath... she doesn't look bad, but it's hard to tear myself away from staring at the nitty-gritty. ## Simone Biles ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919477_071-1499959034.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. It's messily made with what looks like cheap fabric, and the belt over the skirt... I prefer the way the top looks, so I'd make the whole dress part out of that. ## Hannah Storm ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919328_013-1499958799.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. I mean, I guess in a sense I think that about a lot of people, but in this PARTICULAR case it's because of that time when a propane grill accident burned off her eyelashes and eyebrows and half her hair. She now has a whole "accidental burning" subsection of her Wikipedia page. I think about that every time I turn on our grill. Also, I didn't have a way of saying "I don't really like this dress" that was creative, so I went with sympathy instead. ## Chelsea Pezzola ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919477_029-1499958949.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. I feel like Carrie Underwood must be her style icon. ## Danica Patrick ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919477_103-1499959066.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. She knows what works on her, although she needs a red lip. ## Rachel Lindsay ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919477_065-1499958998.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Her entire mien is as if she accepted this invite because she thought ESPY stood for something else. ## Kerri Walsh Jennings ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919477_129-1499959193.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Sure! This looks fine. ## Nastia Liukin ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919328_029-1499958818.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. I love this. ## Candace Parker ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919477_139-1499959224.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. (Photo by Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images) I generally LOVE her style so I'm not sure what happened here. There's the germ of something cool, but it looks too much like she DIY'd it from bedsheets. ## Dove Cameron ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/GettyImages-813571200-1499959344.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CA - JULY 12: NFL player Odell Beckham Jr. (L) and actress Dove Cameron speak onstage at The 2017 ESPYS at Microsoft Theater on July 12, 2017 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images) Dove, here with Odell Beckham, Jr., is a Disney lady who was also in the NBC *Hairspray*. I like that, sort of? I think I wish it were a straight minidress rather than going with the blouson/tucked in effect. ## Abby Wambach ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/07/BGUS_919477_116-1499959126.jpg) Los Angeles, CA - Stars at The 25th ESPYS at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Pictured: Abby Wambach BACKGRID USA 12 JULY 2017 BYLINE MUST READ: Image Press / BACKGRID USA: +1 310 798 9111 / usasales@backgrid.com UK: +44 208 344 2007 / uksales@backgrid.com \*UK Clients - Pictures Containing Children Please Pixelate Face Prior To Publication\* I didn't see any red carpet shots of Abby with her wife and stepkids, which is too bad ([they did appear on Insta](https://www.instagram.com/p/BWd2mrwFtvC/?taken-by=glennondoyle&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)). She married Momastery's Glennon Doyle Melton, who is a very successful author and blogger. It was kind of a surprise because Glennon had only divorced her husband of 14 years about three months before she announced she was dating Abby, and they got married in under a year. SEIZE THE DAY, I say, although she also once wrote an entry called "Don't Carpe Diem," so oh well. Abby's shirt says BE KIND and one of the kids' shirts was BE BRAVE. [The Ladies of the ESPYsWe've got the Final Five, Lindsey Vonn, Michelle Obama, and... Zosia Mamet? Sure, why not.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2017/07/espy2017women-1499961094.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/the-ladies-of-the-espys-07-2017/)
