Nico Parker
Nico, who is the daughter of Thandiwe Newton and Ol Parker, attended with her dad. (She's one of the stars, or at least recurs?) This is so dramatic and floaty; I wish I couldn't see the line where her slip ends, because my eye jumps there when it could go so many other places.
Bella Ramsey
Bella was Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones, and starred in Catherine Called Birdy, in case she seems familiar to you. (Apparently she also did a Worst Witch version in 2017, but I can't formally recognize anything but the Fairuza Balk/Diana Rigg/Tim Curry one.) I love what she's going for here, but... well, maybe it'd be fine if her eye makeup were different?
with Pedro Pascal
I was like, "Oh, Bella loves the Mandalorian!" And then I looked up the cast list, and Pedro is the lead actor and I think they shot the whole thing together. Pedro is always a welcome sight.
Storm Reid
Normally I would complain about the sheers, and how she's using her blazer partly as pants somehow, but honestly... she looks kind of great? Also the pattern on her skirt looks like little dancing gnome hats or something and it amuses me.
Lamar Johnson
I cannot cosign the width of his trousers.
Merle Dandridge
I gather Merle is playing the same part she voices in the games, which is fun. (They seem to have tried to hire several of the game's cast, even though many are NOT in the same parts.) She looks super in this.
Ashley Scott
But I would like to have a word with the organizers! I hope they TOLD people the carpet would be black, and left it to them whether they decided to wear black anyway and look like they were rising out of it like so many mammoths in a tar pit. (Also this top was not worth it.)
Hayley Law
I am not sure this was worth it, either.
Christopher Gorham
It's wild to see sweet Henry Grubstick from Ugly Betty with salt and pepper hair. It has been SEVENTEEN YEARS since that show. I think Chris's love of a vest has been enduring.
Nick Offerman
I would be alarmed if he DIDN'T look like he just rolled up from his cabin and isn't too happy about having to walk away from the canoe he's whittling.
Jack Donnelly and Malin Akerman
That is a FABULOUS jacket.
Arturo Castro
I just saw him in The Menu, which I found extremely entertaining, and I mostly put him in here so that I could tell you that.
Jeffrey Pierce
Great jacket, but I don't like the color of the pants with any of this; however, THAT BEARD. I celebrate it.
Gabriel Luna
It would appear he walked here and got splashed with mud by a passing car.
Janina Gavankar
FINALLY someone shows up with coat draped around their shoulders, and has it do what it would to all the rest of us: slide to one side and look kooky. I also want to swap in boots that aren't introducing a whole new color to this. Matching the belt would have been perfect.
Troy Baker
He voices Pedro Pascal's character in the games. I'm glad they found a part for him in this, but it must be sort of hard/weird to give up the lead even if you might ALSO hire Pedro Pascal if you could. Thank you for the pocket square, friend.
