Those shoes are cute. The idea of the top is interesting? But I think having it hang over my hands would make me nuts. And that aesthetic always has such a Little Girl feel to it, in a way that's at odds with the rest.

I had lightboxed this when I covered Dwyane Wade's Hall of Fame party, but I guess it didn't download along with the others, and I didn't notice until too late. Thus, I get to share it here. It's like sexy lava.

This is from before the actors went on strike, although I don't know if anything she said was even promotional. Still. Felt important to clarify. I hate the rise on these pants with a fiery intensity and think the entire garment is awkward on her.

This was ALSO pre-SAG strike, at Essence Fest. It's fine, but the tan shoes seem wrong -- imagine some that play off the yellow in her outfit, for example.

She was with her Abbott pals, and I LOVE how extra and bright and delightful this photo is.

This was from a climate summit. I'm not actively mad at it, but the shoes might need to fall into a well.

And here, she's at a Pride event, glowing and with a very VMAs kind of vibe. The one throughline here is that she's not in any kind of rut -- Quinta and her stylist, as ever, will try ALL KINDS of things, and long may they keep that approach.
