This is phenomenal, from the cut to the shimmery material, which mixes mermaid and ocean. I also appreciate that her dress's bodice looks like two shells, the likes of which Arial should have emerged from at her fateful concert, when she was instead off gallivanting. It's just perfect and she looks delightful.

Noma plays Queen Selina, wife of Triton, a new character they added for the movie. I rather like this on her, and I am glad Triton ISN'T stepping out on her with a sea witch.

He plays Sebastian the Crab. Apparently they rewrote some of "Kiss the Girl" to address consent issues. Visually the original made it pretty clear Ariel wanted him to kiss her, I think, but I get being concerned that the second verse encourages kids to act first and apologize later. Anyway, I love this man for wearing what looks like vertical sand art.

She's your Scuttle, Inventor of the Dinglehopper. And while I could live with most of this, I want to take a dinglehopper to those nylon socks so that she's compelled to remove them.

She is just the most gorgeous, but I continue not to love her choices. That pink clump looks so cumbersome. This dress could pass at the Met Gala if the theme were soap operas, and the dress represented someone hurling a Cosmo at somebody else. But that's about it.

Sienna plays one of Ariel's sisters, as does Simone in fact. I wanted to like this but the bigger the photo got, and the closer I looked, the more it just seemed semi-homemade.

I can't find "chef" or "Chef Louis" on the cast list for this movie, so I've no idea who will take on "Les Poissons." John Stamos here did it in the televised production and I believe also on stage? Maybe he'll do it again? Or maybe they cut it. He looks very handsome though.
