I am sorry, Red Sox fans. He is SO DELIGHTFUL. I cherish him and his great ball playing skills and his infectious smile. I cannot wait to go cheer for him in person eventually. ## The Los Angeles Dodgers Win the 2020 World Series ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/10/shutterstock_editorial_10977487i-1603862731-scaled.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Robert Gauthier/Los Angeles Times/Shutterstock (10977487i) Arlington, Texas, Tuesday, October 27, 2020 Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes (15)/ jumps as he is tagged out by Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi (26) in the third inning game six of the World Series at Globe Life Field. (Robert Gauthier/ Los Angeles Times) Dodgers and Braves in game six of the World Series at Globe Life Field, Globe Life Field, Arlington, California, United States - 27 Oct 2020 But I have to shout out the Tampa Bay Rays in general, and their first baseman Ji-Man Choi in particular. HE IS SO GOOD. In an earlier game in the series, he did a FULL SPLITS to make an out. And not like an awkward ouchie splits --like a totally easy full splits. It was amazing. Ji-Man seems great. (Off topic of him, but I do wonder why the Rays pulled their pitcher, Blake Snell, so early; I feel like that might have been a disastrous decision? You never can say, but I feel like Rays fans are gonna be complaining about that one for a while.) ## The Los Angeles Dodgers Win the 2020 World Series ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/10/shutterstock_editorial_10977327ea-1603862616-scaled.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Tony Gutierrez/AP/Shutterstock (10977327ea) Los Angeles Dodgers celebrate after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 to win the baseball World Series in Game 6, in Arlington, Texas World Series Rays Dodgers Baseball, Arlington, United States - 27 Oct 2020 This was at the end of the game, when Urias stuck out the final batter (and the Dodgers have had issues with our closers, so it was extra exciting that he did so well). I TOO leapt for joy in my living room, while crying. ## Chris Taylor, Cody Bellinger and Mookie Betts ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/10/shutterstock_editorial_10977392aw-1603862693-scaled.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by JOHN G MABANGLO/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock (10977392aw) Los Angeles Dodgers players (L-R) Chris Taylor, Cody Bellinger and Mookie Betts celebrate after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays in Major League Baseball's World Series Game six to win the World Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, USA, 27 October 2020\. The Dodgers win the best-of-seven series 4-2\. Tampa Bay Rays at Los Angeles Dodgers - 2020 World Series, Arlington, USA - 27 Oct 2020 Leaping AND hugging. This takes some real coordination, there is a reason these men are professional athletes (and Cody and Mookie are truly exceptional outfielders, while Chris Taylor is generally fine except in Game 4 when he MISSED THAT FINAL OUT and everything went to hell in the craziest end of a game I've ever seen.) ## Kiké Hernandez and Corey Seager ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/10/shutterstock_editorial_10977487w-1603862746.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Robert Gauthier/Los Angeles Times/Shutterstock (10977487w) Arlington, Texas, Tuesday, October 27, 2020 Los Angeles Dodgers teammates Kike Hernandez and Corey Seager celebrate as the Dodgers beat the Rays in game six to win the World Series at Globe Life Field. (Robert Gauthier/ Los Angeles Times) Dodgers and Braves in game six of the World Series at Globe Life Field, Globe Life Field, Arlington, California, United States - 27 Oct 2020 If the outfielders are fans of the Tall Socks, the infielders (here at least, not uniformly) went for the Long Pants. Personally, if I got Freaky Friday'ed into the body of a professional baseball player, I would go for the Tall Socks. (I would like to thank Kiké Hernandez, though, for truly bringing forth a Tight Pants Renaissance on this team. Last year, a fan actually did a study that proved that Kiké hit better in tighter pants, and Kiké found out about it, and now he almost always wears them. Kiké also, by the way, has appeared in the dugout wearing a banana costume. I love him. The player in the foreground is of course Corey Seager, the MVP of the NLCS and the World Series. I remember saying to my Dad earlier in the season that it's a bummer that Corey is doing so well in a short season. WELL BUMMER NO MORE. \[Corey had an amazing rookie year, then had to have Tommy John AND hip surgery, so he was a little off last year. But he and his thick head of hair are BACK.\]) ## The Los Angeles Dodgers Win the 2020 World Series ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/10/shutterstock_editorial_10977327fb-1603862679-scaled.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by David J Phillip/AP/Shutterstock (10977327fb) Los Angeles Dodgers celebrate after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 to win the baseball World Series in Game 6, in Arlington, Texas World Series Rays Dodgers Baseball, Arlington, United States - 27 Oct 2020 I need to warn you that I downloaded a LOT of photos of people running to hug each other. ## The Los Angeles Dodgers Win the 2020 World Series ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/10/shutterstock_editorial_10977327ds-1603862586-scaled.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Tony Gutierrez/AP/Shutterstock (10977327ds) Los Angeles Dodgers celebrate after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 to win the baseball World Series in Game 6, in Arlington, Texas World Series Rays Dodgers Baseball, Arlington, United States - 27 Oct 2020 And then hugging! This is perhaps because I am sad I didn't get to jump up and down and run around and hug people this time. ## The Los Angeles Dodgers Win the 2020 World Series ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/10/shutterstock_editorial_10977327dt-1603862601-scaled.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Tony Gutierrez/AP/Shutterstock (10977327dt) Los Angeles Dodgers celebrate after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 to win the baseball World Series in Game 6, in Arlington, Texas World Series Rays Dodgers Baseball, Arlington, United States - 27 Oct 2020 These photos also feature a lot of butts! Yes, you can! Get in on that hug, Tony! ## The Los Angeles Dodgers Win the 2020 World Series ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/10/shutterstock_editorial_10977487x-1603862757.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Robert Gauthier/Los Angeles Times/Shutterstock (10977487x) Arlington, Texas, Tuesday, October 27, 2020 Manager Dave Roberts and the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrate after beating the Rays in game six to win the World Series at Globe Life Field. (Robert Gauthier/ Los Angeles Times) Dodgers and Braves in game six of the World Series at Globe Life Field, Globe Life Field, Arlington, California, United States - 27 Oct 2020 Dave Roberts, the Dodgers manager (and fellow UCLA alum!), has gotten a LOT of shit over the years for his management skills, some of which was justified and some of which was not. Regardless, I'm very fond of Dave and I'm really happy this happened for him. ## The Los Angeles Dodgers Win the 2020 World Series ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/10/shutterstock_editorial_10977327dq-1603862571-scaled.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Sue Ogrocki/AP/Shutterstock (10977327dq) Los Angeles Dodgers celebrate with their family after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 to win the baseball World Series in Game 6, in Arlington, Texas World Series Rays Dodgers Baseball, Arlington, United States - 27 Oct 2020 This is everyone getting to say hello to their families, which is really sweet. It was really, really hard not getting to celebrate this with my friends, or my parents, and it sucks that we didn't get to have this game happen at Dodger Stadium. (And, as of my writing this, I'm not entirely sure what happened with Justin Turner. It's a very 2020 way to go out to have someone get Covid in the middle of the final game of the season, and VERY MLB for them to not get the results back until the middle of a game, and I suspect the league low key got a little lackadaisical about it. Like, MLB was sending the daily tests to Utah? From Texas? I'm pretty sure Texas has a lab to do Covid tests! Why are you sending them to Utah?! Rob Manfred is a terrible commissioner! The fact that Turner apparently went back out on the field afterward -- presumably because he figured he'd already exposed everyone? -- is a bit wild and makes me side-eye JT, who I would not have expected to pull something like that. Maybe I don't have the whole story? Maybe he figured he'd just played two-thirds of a game with them so he might as well? Doesn't seem advisable, though!!!! DON'T HARSH MY HAPPY SOBBING WITH CONTAGION, PLEASE.) ## The Los Angeles Dodgers Win the 2020 World Series ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/10/shutterstock_editorial_10977327de-1603862556-scaled.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Tony Gutierrez/AP/Shutterstock (10977327de) Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw celebrates they defeat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 to win the baseball World Series in Game 6, in Arlington, Texas World Series Rays Dodgers Baseball, Arlington, United States - 27 Oct 2020 JUST KISS KERSHAW, Y'ALL! I'm so so happy he's finally gotten this ring. He's so great, and he came so close, so many times, and he's getting older and his back is a little questionable and then you start to worry he might never get a World Series ring. (I love Kershaw. He's the best pitcher of his generation and he's also a sincerely good dude.) ## The Los Angeles Dodgers Win the 2020 World Series ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/10/shutterstock_editorial_10977327ej-1603862648-scaled.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Eric Gay/AP/Shutterstock (10977327ej) Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw celebrates with the trophy after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 to win the baseball World Series in Game 6, in Arlington, Texas World Series Rays Dodgers Baseball, Arlington, United States - 27 Oct 2020 This is just the greatest and on a personal level, I am SO HAPPY.
