I love the NEIGHBORHOOD this is in, at least, but it might not be the best house on the block? What a terrible metaphor. But I think it's overcomplicated. We have a drapey caftan-adjacent dress with diagonal lines and a folded neck, plus... some other pleating at the bodice, and then bell sleeves. It is a LOT of ingredients. It is the house on the block that has a turret AND bay windows AND some gables AND a glass solarium, and you're like, "Did they put six designs together?" ... Hey, I had to TRY to make the neighborhood metaphor work.
