So, this was at the TIFF screening of Twelve Years a Slave, and it was Lupita's first big red carpet moment (it was her first film, and I believe this was its first screening anyway). I remember seeing this photo on Twitter when I was waiting to get into something at Fashion Week that September and thinking, "who IS this?! SHE LOOKS FANTASTIC." It's like we all just knew. The dress is Prada, and Micaela Erlanger, Lupita's stylist, just nailed this moment. They're a very good team.
