The Many Looks of the Spanish State Visit

DEAR GOD THE JEWELS. (Our friends at Order of Splendor have an excellent write-up of the many many jewels and whatnot that were involved herein, as ever.) Allow me to eloquently add to the chorus and say: HOLY SHIT. Everyone brought out the big guns for this and they look AMAZING. (You can see Kate lurking around in the background of this photos as well; here she's talking to Harry.) Letizia has perhaps never looked better in her entire life.

This dress on Letizia is iconic. It's one of the best dresses of the year. (Kate, KATE! Why did you punt? Apparently, I will never be satisfied.) And no one lacks a bracelet!

Felipe and Leitiza had a very full day. Here, they popped over to Parliament, and Letizia looks fab AGAIN. She's wearing Burberry, which is...perfect.

Everyone looks very nice here and also MY GOD there is a lot of stuff in this room at Clarence House. One of my favorite bits in the recent Charles biography was the bit that implied Chaz and Cams are kinda slobby hoarders who love stuff -- as am I -- and this room really sells that. There are like twice as many lamps as you need, and I say that as someone whose interior design style is as maximalist as possible.

This hat feel very much like she spent a lot of time looking at old Trooping the Colour photos and decided to go as Kate-ish as possible. That is a compliment: I LOVE the hats that have surprise bits under the brim.

This whole suit, actually, feels very Kate-ish (like this one specifially).

This is Hugo Boss and she looks great in it. As I pointed out in our recent retrospective, she loves white and wears it well. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
