This dress is surprisingly complicated but also very cute on her -- sort of a "Gentleman Prefer Blondes" put through a shredder look, but in a very good way.

From this distance, she looks so much like Mila Kunis. (They really could play sisters in something.)

I apologize for only having profesh photos of half of these, but you can get the gist. This is a really simple, very good dress on her. As the GOAT LOOMS OVER HER HEAD READY TO SWALLOW HER. (Maybe in this movie, Mila Kunis will rescue her!)

I watched this performance and, no. I still have literally NO IDEA what is happening here, and why there are several grown men dressed as the Stanford Tree Sponsored By Mop & Glo.

The Baconator got into the theme, accepting for Best Dance Scene (in Footloose, natch). I need to note that there truly was no rhyme or reason for these awards; you'd think they'd decided the period of time that was in consideration was Years In Which The MTV Movie Awards Existed, but clearly no. Anyway, Kevin looks great and his goat seems like one of the good ones. The mustache makes him look like he's filming a movie where he plays a slightly crooked cop.

Bless Drew for Zooming in from the set of her show, where her camera is professional and her hair looks GREAT. Adam Sandler looks like Adam Sandler and also thanked MTV for his "entire career," so clearly the pandemic has made him reflective.

BOTH of these folks are practicing good mask hygiene!

First of all, how cute are they? (You can see Selma's whole outfit here on her Insta, and she looks fantastic.) I am OBSESSED with Selma's haircut, and SMG looks adorable in her very thematic "Kiss" sweatshirt, as they won for the GOAT Kiss (from "Cruel Intentions"). I love that they are friends and also that they did this safely in someone's backyard.

They did a well-performed bit -- everyone was VERY prepared for this show in a way that makes me think the actors of Hollywood are BORED and want to get back to WORK -- wherein Jason acted like Kristen was her Breaking Up With Sarah Marshall character, his ex-girlfriend. (I think it would have worked better if that movie was a little fresher in our collective memories?) Her pandemic haircut is cute; I appreciate that he reads books.

This is a great dress! (She also got fully dressed; I would have worn Birkenstocks.)

This was a salute to Chadwick Boseman, and they both obviously look handsome and appropriate.

William Zabka won something called "GOAT: Zero to Hero" for his part as Johnny Lawrence in Karate Kid/Cobra Kai, which I hear is great, and that he is great in. This was the only award that actually felt legit to me -- like the rest were certainly fun flashbacks but he really earned this one for something that's actually happening right now! And also this reminded me to watch Cobra Kai, so....win-win, Johnny Lawrence!

This kicked into the shout's outro, which was Steve Aoki and Travis Barker wearing skeleton costumes and performing a (really very good) remix of "You're the Best," under the watchful eye of this goat. We're really all going through it this year, right? Right.
