# The NAACP Image Awards Snuck In Before the SAGs!

This was a fun and diverting red carpet, including one of the best deployments of man-houndstooth I've seen in maybe ever. Join me! Also! A lot of folks only appeared virtually for this event (as far as I can tell), so we've only got Insta snaps of them. First up, Halle Berry looking quite great in Elie Saab, in a dress that feels to me like a shout-out to the classic Elie Saab she wore when she won her Oscar:

This AMAZING vintage look on Zendaya that I am distraught we didn't get to see from all angles:

As well as THIS amazing look on Zendaya:

I am obsessed with that coat.

This is cool on Ariana DeBose and is another look I'd love to get more angles on -- Zendaya has worn those stockings previously, they are making the rounds!

This color is GREAT and this looks comfy from the waist down, making this a perhaps perfect-for-Zoom situation:

Something about this look -- the shoulder pads, but also the slightly futuristic vibe -- makes me want to see Mary J. playing a beautiful queen from another planet in a high-budget limited series. I will definitely take her to my leader. She IS my leader!

So far, Law Roach and Kerry Washington have had a VERY successful pairing. She looks gorgeous here:

Also maybe like the prettiest bridesmaid at the wedding? But gorgeous.
