I was always just going to start with this shot, because it's funny.

Lovely! This dress is very pretty on her; he looks handsomely cozy. I support you both!

This look is absolutely perfect for the premiere of a movie where he plays Laurie, as it is mildly Laurie-esque. (Especially given his hair.) FWIW, I thought Christian Bale was perfect casting, but Timmy is also GREAT. I overheard two young women at my local bookstore arguing heatedly this weekend about whether or not he and Saoirse look too much alike to make sense as a romantic pairing in this movie. "THEY HAVE THE SAME FACE," one yelled. It warmed my heart to know that young women are still yelling about Little Women. DO Timmy and Saoirse have the same face????

Here's your Meg and her John Brooke; he looks VERY PAT-ABLE in velvet and is great physical casting for that part. Emma Watson looks...

I just. I don't....know what is happening here. (Here's how this look went down the runway. Nothing was tucked into velvet...leggings?) This has a real Bummed Out Pirate vibe that I will confess I was not anticipating.

She changed for the after-party, and I...guess this is better? It DEFINITELY looks more easily wrangled.

Question: Would this have looked better without boots? (I understand she might have needed the boots to keep her tootsies warm but I feel like it might be wonking up the slit on the dress. Like, imagine this with flats, even.)

I would like to thank Greta Gerwig for realizing that, if the audience is meant to accept Jo -- er, spoiler? -- not marrying Laurie, then the man she DOES marry, Prof. Bhaer, needs to be EXTREMELY SEXY. Would this otherwise sexy man be sexier in different shoes? Is anyone even looking at his feet?

Do we think they'll also let her wear this to the premiere of the new Star Wars movie? Because it will be perfect!

She, too, changed for the afterparty. (She's also growing out a shaved head and doing so with elan.) This little black dress is totally reasonable, obviously -- I might have done some big-ass earrings, though?

This is dramatic! She sort of looks as if she's wearing a beautiful antique dining chair you'd see at the Met. (She plays Mrs Hummel.)

Ditto Braff -- who looks dashing in a three-piece. Men of the world, proving yourselves to be sincere Little Women mega-fans would probably endear you to MANY women. I'm just saying.
