Keira looks lovely in this but also a bit like a bridesmaid at a really fancy old-timey wedding where people arrive in carriages and dowries are involved. The red lip seems incongruous with the rest of it, too. One or the other must have been... a backup choice?

Or maybe she's the country bride. It's almost Sexy Austen, isn't it?

I know Ellie and Keira are big Chanel people, but these two outfits together at the same premiere feel like the Senior and Junior versions of each other. I don't know. It's not that they're so similar, but the pink shiny floof of it all is a bit too interconnected. Keira's bow is better than the crazy rib belt, though.

That, however, is totally dreamy and another one to file away in the folder labeled When Rodarte Isn't Trying So Hard To Make FASHION, It Churns Out Better Stuff.

I saw her dance in The Nutcracker and it was really special, even though the understudy dancing with her almost dropped her. She is a total pro. Afterward, she had Champagne and fries at the bar of the hotel where we were staying; I've told that story here before, I know, but it was so cool. I LOVE the material of this dress, and the two-tone skirt -- I will accept high-low dresses when they do that sort of contrast lining -- but I don't understand the bodice entirely. This is trying to do way too many things at once, I think, and the fabric didn't demand that.
