Danielle Brooks

OTHER than the second set of fingers, she looks awesome.

Samuel L. and LaTanya Richardson Jackson

I am feeling her massive houndstooth.

John David Washington

He has a great grin. It's a little mischievous.

Michael Potts

Ooh, I love a monk-strap shoe. This whole color scheme is intriguing.

Ray Fisher

I'm so pleased that he's working! You may remember Ray as being in the DC Universe, and he blew the whistle on some of Joss Whedon's behavior. Took some guts from someone who isn't as famous as the people who therefore stand to lose way less. He looks dishy.

Trai and Grace Byers

They look happy, and are apparently expecting. A good thing to come out of Empire!

Jurnee Swan

If I were her age, I would be delighted to wear this to my Broadway debut. Live it up!

Amirah Vann

I miss her, from How To Get Away With Murder. She was sassy and wore great lipstick -- something she apparently continues here! -- and I would love to see her giving somebody a good dressing-down on, say, Grey's Anatomy.

Nicole Ari Parker

She looks so different to me from picture to picture. She changes up her hair a lot and it throws me! Of course, last I saw her, she was dressed as Covid, so.

Jurnee Smollett

Wow, something really suctioned itself to her chest and then brought its whole family.

Whoopi Goldberg

I like this coat on Whoopi, and I appreciate her commitment to finding matching Wellies.

Jane Krakowski

Ooooh, she JUST poked a toe out from under those pants. Nice save.

Ethan Hawke

He is starting to look a little bit like a charismatic Rogue Megachurch leader.

Uma Thurman

I enjoy that Uma genuinely looks like someone who grabbed theatre tickets at the last minute and a quick bite to eat with her friend.

Donna Murphy

This is so dramatic, and SO well accessorized. It's also wild to me that she and Uma are at the same event.

Jesse Williams

Very handsome. The outfit, I mean, but also the man.

Oscar Isaac

MMMHMM.

Ruben Santiago-Hudson

I believe he directed the last Broadway staging of The Piano Lesson, which one review said was and remains the very best one. I am not a black-and-blue person very often, and I think I would like this better with pants that matched the jacket and perhaps a white shirt? Or pale blue? But listen, the jacket and hat ARE great.

Joel Grey

Perfect whimsy.

Pauletta Washington

This is all excellent. That coat feels MADE for Fug Nation.

with Spike Lee

You can get a sense of what Spike Lee looks like here. The important thing is: I thought we'd had all the unbridled glee we would get this week, and merrily I was wrong.

Danielle Brooks Looked Glorious at her Broadway Opening

For August Wilson's "The Piano Lesson."
