The Premiere of Dracula

Sadie Frost, Winona Ryder and Gary Oldman

The theme of Sadie Frost and Winona's ensembles is BOOBS. (This feels very on-theme, though, as the Bram Stoker's Dracula theme IS heaving bosoms.) Gary Oldman looks so young here, and I suppose he is. It's hard to remember, because he spends so much of the movie looking totally insane. If you haven't seen this film, I do recommend it. It's flawed but VERY interesting. (I am old and thus saw it in the theatre. Keanu Reeves, who didn't attend this premiere, is AWFUL in it. The Roger Ebert review is very enjoyable.)

Sadie Frost and Gary Kemp

This is Spandau Ballet's Gary Kemp, Sadie's first husband and OMG SHE HAS A TYPE. I never realized until now how much he looks like Jude Law.

Kiefer Sutherland and "Guest"

This was two years after the SCANDAL that was his break-up with Julia Roberts -- young people, it was A THING. She broke up with Kiefer three days before she and Kiefer were meant to be married (she thought he was having an affair with a go-go dancer) and ran off to Ireland with his friend Jason Patric on their actual wedding day. His date looks tremendously familiar to me.

God bless Sara Gilbert for adherence to theme! Also, doesn't she look like Alyson Hannigan here?

Liam Neeson and a Person I Don't Know

YES that is Sofia Coppola, and you need to read this old NYT piece about Donovan Leitch -- well known to old people like me -- headlined "He's It! He's Hot! He's . . . Who?" It is an amazing time warp. As far as she goes, this is post Godfather Part III (which Winona was meant to be in) and I haven't her with hair this long since I saw that movie.
