I actually think she is full-on working this, although I do not advise people to try it at home.
I love this. I mean, not literally. But in the sense that I love the idea that they were texting before this, all, "What are you going to wear?" and eventually they decided on print shirts/pants sets with either the pantlegs rolled OR a banded hem, and sunglasses. Kind of like when my childhood best friend Cheri and I wore matching outfits to Disneyland, except about $20,000 more expensive.
This post-performance look is very, "here's what I might have been wearing if I'd been riding that Batmotorcycle in The Dark Night Rises." Those boots, plus that jacket, is enough coverage that it's very nearly a casual, off-duty Catsuit.
Speaking of coverage....I guess this is a thing we're doing now? At least, unlike Ke$ha, she appears to be wearing appropriate unders. Which goes a long way in basically every sartorial situation, ever.
In fact, this whole thing is kind of cute from the front. Those boots are insane, but also kind of mesmerizing. They're insanmerizing? Mesmerane?
I full-on love her for being all, "I'm just popping over to Harrods in my Converse and shirtdress." This might be the first time that I could argue that she actually looks like she's kind of going incognito -- the photographers notwithstanding -- because seriously who HASN'T popped over to the shops with a baseball cap on to pick up some Spanx and lipgloss? (Or, in her case, probably, some shoes that cost as much as my car and also a riding saddle just in case she decides she should take up riding.)
I think RiRi is having fun in England.
Yes, those are overalls. Also: Why is this happening.
Additionally, I love that our photo service noted here that she is "makeup free." Oh, photo service man who wrote that caption, I love you for not being able to recognize false lashes. (I also love false lashes at a bowling alley. Just because you're bowling, it doesn't mean you can't also be glaaaaaammmmmourous.)
Note: apparently, she packed at least two pairs of overalls. At least they're....comfortable for travel?
I actually totally endorse this. Why isn't that skirt in my possession right now? WHY.
