First of all: It sort of cracks me up that all these Screams premiered at the same theatre, the Avco Cinema in Westwood, at which I have seen many MANY a movie and which is now an iPic. (I think? I haven't driven past in a million years.) Second: I realized last year that I think a lot of my tastes are stuck in this time period (which makes sense; I was 24 in February, 2000, and it seems reasonable that I would imprint on this stuff) but I think it's objectively true that CoCox looks gorgeous here. I am so ready for those Pointy Pointy Heels to come back!

This outfit is so dated and I realize that and yet I kind of like it? Is that just nostalgia? I DO think you could wear parts of this now and you'd look like a funky middle-aged art gallery owner -- in a good way.

Not dating, just friends, I'm pretty sure. She was about to marry a dude she would divorce after six months, a divorce that was announced one month before her wedding was featured in InStyle, which had to have been just agonizing for her every time she ran out to the market and saw it on the cover. Additionally, her "Personal Life" section on her Wiki gives me anxiety, because she has GONE THROUGH IT with her second husband, and I hope she's doing okay now. I still love this dress.

This was during season two of The Sopranos, so she was very famous at this point. Her body is killer, my GOD. (That's a tattoo right above the laces on her pants.)

When I saw this photo in thumbnail, I thought Jenny was CoCox; it's definitely her hair color, but they do look facially somewhat alike. This is her first husband, who looks like he should have been in Sugar Ray, which was true for a lot of men in 2000. (He's an actor but he also directed some of the MOST unhinged -- AKA greatest -- episodes of One Tree Hill, including the one where Nathan has gotten into a gambling ring and CMM ends up in an illustrative coma! THANK YOU for that.)

Remember how yesterday we were talking about when bootcut jeans started to really take over? Voila! She looks cute here.

Same idea! (This haircut is very cute.)

Jennifer Garner is so cute here and also totally looks like Scott Foley's business manager who ran across the street to meet him after a long day at the office.

I, and everyone else, literally owned this entire outfit and frankly wish I still had it!

We wore so many little cardigans in 2000! And for my fellow Middle-Ageds, I heard The Cardigans, the band, on the oldies station this week. ENJOY KNOWING THAT.

This skirt is very cute; I clearly remember thinking how much I loved skirts, like, as an object around this time.

These two played a LOT of professional poker back in the day (and maybe still!) and they kinda look like that here.

Breckin Meyer is here to make sure you're set with drinks?

She loves her new bag!

She also looks great in these trousers but might want the hat back. (Although it's very of its time!)

For a moment, I thought Jill was Christine Baranski! Thank god she's got a pashmina -- it's not legally a flashback from 2000 if no one has a pashmina.

This seems right. They were together for years -- college sweethearts! -- and are still friends, which is a heart-warming way to end this.
