Emily may have wished I picked a cute smiley photo, but a) I think this IS a cute photo -- she seems so happy; and b) I had to show off the sleeves. This fits her style really nicely, and HE looks super, and their movie is wonderful. I hope Oscar smiles upon it.

I have no idea why she was there, as she doesn't appear to be in any of the featured films (maybe she was presenting?), but: Welcome back, Megan Draper. (She's on SEAL Team in a role that felt like a VERY strange choice for her; I turned on one episode and actually said, "WHAT," out loud when I saw her.) Anyhoo, her pantsuit does indeed come with a cape...

... and here it is, for your ogling pleasure. It MIGHT actually be a shirt (with cape) and pants. It's actually okay on her, but good gracious, do I dislike the shoes.

This is not REALLY my thing, but it's fine. Sally always seems a little timid on red carpets, and LOVES this cut of dress, so it was interesting to see her in The Shape of Water a) holding the screen quite assertively, and b) quite naked. As my only experience with her previously was on red carpets, I just didn't entirely know what to expect, but I guess it wasn't that. (She's good in her role, but I have Real Issues With That Film.)

He's getting nods for The Florida Project, about which I know nothing, although I think I have a screener somewhere. He is clearly delighted to have received what is obviously a calamari-themed bong.

I don't know why some of the statues are glass blown by people who make balloon animals, and then some are ancient artifacts. But I DO know that I love Gary Oldman's purple suit.

Sam's outfit is patterned, and nifty, and done NO justice by the messy unbuttoned shirt underneath it. However, he's very good in Three Billboards Etc., which is otherwise... well-acted, and an intriguing experiment and study of grief and rage (I suppose), but also not a movie I ever want to see again.

He is SUCH a good Jeff Gillooly. I also think he looks dapper, but somehow he also always looks only about 68 percent awake.

Timothee is in Call Me By Your Name AND Hostiles AND Lady Bird, all of which are in circulation this season. So get ready to remember how to spell his name, is what I'm saying. Both these gentlemen look very dapper.

Elizabeth is in Self Portrait, a line I do not historically enjoy, and this does nothing to change that opinion.

But... question: Why is Armie Hammer stowing his fingers in HER outfit pocket? This is something we may be asked to defend when our alien overlords show us confusing photographs in the hope that we will justify our customs. I cannot think of a reason, as I have never seen another human do this, and I can't figure out why she's not looking down at his hand, all, "Uh, I told you I put the Certs in my purse, dude."

ENTER THE THIGHMASTER. Which, actually, would make a good biopic title, if Margot Robbie wants to take on another one.
