Rooney Mara is in Cannes to support her boyfriend, Joaquin Phoenix -- truly, a more unbearable couple I cannot imagine -- who won Best Actor for You Were Never Really Here, in which I hear he is truly great. (Are we going to have to go through a Joaquin Phoenix Awards Season?) I have to say, I think she looks great in this. It fits her Consumptive Aesthetic but it's got some retro verve that works on her. Maybe I just like the sunglasses.
