Maybe Ryan's Ken hair and Barbie movie color palette have him feeling the light and bright hues right now. I like it in theory, but...

... to me, the jacket and the pants are juuuuust close enough not to work together. It looks like someone tried a color match and didn't get there.

And of course he's the bad guy to Ryan's hero. Might as well look the part.

I can't honestly say I like her shoes that much, BUT Alfre's accessory game is always well-considered, and she's definitely doing the most with that basic white dress.

That top looks like it'd be enormously frustrating to put on, and the effect is really just like she's tangled up in her seat belt. She also looks like someone on her team told her she'd be thrown in jail if she didn't show her watch and rings at all times.

I ALSO appreciate this attempt to elevate a plain white dress, but I don't like the dress or some of the accessories quite as much.

But Billy Bob's accessory game is so overbaked that it would enrage Paul Hollywood.

Whereas I think Jessica needs more. Maybe Billy could donate a few.

He has to have been eager for this -- after Bridgerton hit big, and he was done with it, he didn't have any movies to promote because of the pandemic. It wasn't that he didn't work, or get roles; it was just shitty timing. So he has to be relieved that the ball is rolling again. Also: handsome.

Let's all agree that we don't NEED thong-like straps as part of our outfits anymore.

Julia is 13, and this is her first big movie after Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. This is a very pretty dress, and I'm excited for her.

And Michael is wearing The Color of the Moment, which had taken a brief dip in popularity without Andrew Garfield being on the award circuit.

Tone-on-tone. It's fine.

I like Mary, but she has questionable taste in formalwear at best (I always prefer her in her moto jacket and boots). This is like the Designer Imposter version of what Simone Ashley is wearing, although it's actually not as bad as it could be. Romain looks delightful, and I enjoy how solid they seem to be. Mary is too smart to let the show play around with her marriage by staging a bunch of fake drama that might turn real. The best they can do is "we are both busy" and "he wants to contribute more money to our future house," which are totally reasonable things. They are the Reasonable couple.

This is fine, although I am NOT into Jason's loafers. (I feel like he's wearing them to try and look taller. I am not judging! His height comes up on the show.) I have also learned that I'm good at telling them apart when they are not together -- and when they are -- and it's dismaying that I am adding yet another useless life skill to a resume that has too many of them on it.
