Anne Hathaway
'To Kill a Mockingbird' Broadway play opening night, Arrivals, New York, USA - 13 Dec 2018
I don't know what happened but now I feel very affectionate toward Anne Hathaway -- I think it helped that she was SO GOOD in Ocean's 8. Also, I respect her for this enormous cardigan coat. A blessed swobe is the reason for the season.

I got so used to seeing Joe Morton threatening people with brutal murder on Scandal, and I love his jovial Broadway side.

Hey, it's Jessica Chastain! She looks fairly alert for woman with a new baby at home. (And she always looks nice in red.)

It took a long while for my brain to rifle through its files and remember how I know Michael Stuhlbarg, and the thing it was searching for was, "extremely kind parent," and, yes, eventually I landed on The Dad in Call Me By Your Name. (of course, he was also in The Shape of Water last year, and I watched those movies back to back on a plane; it was like a mini Michael Stuhlbarg film fest.

She looks totally fine, but mostly I wanted to share this interview I read with her recently that made me cry, about her taking on The King and I again, in London, with her Broadway co-star Ruthie Ann Miles, who of course was in that absolutely awful hit and run this year that killed her little girl and unborn child, and another child (and, eventually the driver died by suicide; it's absolutely the most terrible tragedy). She just seems like a very thoughtful, kind person.

I love this -- Samuel L Jackson popped into the photo with Magic Johnson and his wife Cookie and son EJ, and why not? I do feel like it would be nice to be part of the Johnson family. (Everyone here looks snazzy; Magic is magically making that turtleneck work.) As someone who was 8 years old during the heydey of the Lakers, and an LA native: I LOVE MAGIC.

Her pants are a wee bit long for my taste but overall, this is a really enjoyable look on her. She looks like your extremely groovy in-house lawyer.
